Position Summary
Exro is offering an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager within our Engineering organization. You will join a team of professionals driving the execution and delivery of programs e.g., Strategic Initiatives, New Product Introduction, Materials Management, Continuous Improvement, etc. As an effective partner, you will collaborate within different lines of business to ensure successful product launches and monitor milestone achievement. You will also work within various internal teams to implement tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities :
• Gather program and project requirements and shape the program to align with Exro’s long-term commercial and operational objectives and meet the customer or partners' needs.
• Partners with business units within Exro to build a case for the program and gain the commitment of the department heads allowing the allocation of the necessary resources.
• Provides technical information, insight, and status updates from projects and programs to support other operations groups such as sales, marketing, and engineering.
• Creates program timelines, collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines are met, and escalates to management as needed.
• Manage program status and communication with stakeholders; ensure stakeholder alignment on program goals and objectives.
• Work independently to identify and solve problems with minimal direction and find creative solutions.
Leverages professional relationships to resource Product Management collaborating with other departments to accomplish program goals.
• Leads product development program teams through established Exro processes including planning, design and development, basic validation, customer release, customer integration and validation, and eventual production initiatives.
• Communicates with customer and supplier teams for the successful execution of joint efforts, leading meetings and actively assigning and pursuing action items.
• Identifies process awareness gaps and training opportunities for the project team members.
• Understands and adheres to current QHSE policies.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Credentials & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical (HW or SW) project management role in a product-based organization.
• Previous experience successfully launching customer-facing HW or SW products.
• Ability to develop customer and external relationships in a technical or commercial capacity.
• Prior experience in SW scrum management and Agile development methodologies.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and is effective at prioritizing across several teams.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 is required but IATF 16949 is good to have.
• PMP designation is a plus.
• Automotive or OEM experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite & MS Project.
• Occasional domestic and international travel.
