Compensation Data

Description
This AD, Health Informatics is a field based resource that works with the Health Systems. This role supports customer engagements and internal processes, working across the portfolio with the priority customers to ensure that resources can be integrated into an EHR platform. This role is the key orchestrator (leader) on the Health System teams for customer focused population health initiatives optimizing EHR functionality.
For the customer, this position will serve to facilitate health information technology systems and processes relating to the EHR, including tele-health. This position facilitates the utilization of health information technology platforms within an organization and provides a fundamental understanding and execution on managing chronic populations within EHR platforms aligned to the patient journey. This includes but is not limited to patient care workflow, system architectures, and organizing structures.
Internally, this role facilitates foundational knowledge and skills that aids BI in navigating EHR systems to achieve goals related to Triple Aim. The role will address, identify and create solutions for strategic process planning, internal change management, workflow and process redesign and other topics. This individual will lead specific projects and programs to advance productivity by improving the effectiveness of customer interactions and evolving customer models as well as assisting in the successful application of multi-channel/digital promotion channels. The Health Informatics colleague will be specifically charged with helping to build organizational capabilities and drive adaptations of the Health System model in response to the role of Electronic Health Records in the US healthcare landscape.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Optimizes the functionality that already exists within the EHR for HCPs (IDN, ACO, Medical Group)by creating and implementing EHR resources that support the patient journey to assist customers in harnessing their Health IT to improve diagnosis, treatment and management of patients within areas of mutual interest
• Leads/Supports population health initiatives between BI and the HCP (IDN, ACO, Medical Group) by :
• Identifying the appropriate resources for EHR integration based on specific account strategies and tactics in areas of mutual therapeutic interest
• Educating customers on population workflow and EHR functionalities available for population management in areas of mutual therapeutic interest
• Supporting customers in integrating the appropriate screening, diagnosis and treatment tools in areas of mutual therapeutic interest.
• Developing metrics to determine effectiveness of initiatives
• Supports the Health System Franchise as the EHR Subject Matter Expert (SME) to identify implications, threats, and opportunities as a result of the adoption of Health Information Technology by our customers.
• Additionally, as the SME, take the lead in educating internal stakeholders on EHR functionalities, technology landscape and EHR environment
• Leads projects to ensure as many barriers as possible are removed so that BI digital assets and resources can be used by HCPs for population health management in areas of mutual therapeutic interest
• Identify ways to preserve the integrity of our brands' benefit and formulary tiering by addressing inaccuracies in formulary information when transmitted electronically to the EHR.
• Develops recommendations for Brand teams and their agencies/vendors on ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of existing and new digital tools related to improving customer interactions, evolving customer models, and developing and scaling promotional tools.
• Partners with HEOR and Medical organizations on various projects and activities in the role of EHR SME
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree required, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) a plus. Masters Degree preferred(e.g. MHI, MPH, etc.)
• 6-8 years experience in healthcare, business or pharmaceutical industry
• 5-7 years experience working with EHRs
• 3-5 years experience in a patient care environment
• Ability to connect BI business priorities at tangible level to broader trends in Health IT; ability to extract business implications and take action on them within the organization
• Health IT certifications a plus
• Business to business communication skills
• Presentation and Project Management skills
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Knowledge of multiple EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner, etc). Proficiency in all elements of a front end utilization
• Possess the understanding of workflows, processes and clinical decision support, and care coordination
• In-depth understanding of broad market trends in utilizing the EHR to manage chronic populations and Health IT structures. Additionally, health reform including the dynamics of payers, large organized customers (MG/IDS) and patients
• High level of energy and passionate
• Ability to travel
