Job Summary:** You are a special mechanic that is passionate about what they do, seeks some independence, has the ability to converse with fleet managers and can consult on vehicle repairs and maintenance. The position is for an experienced mobile/on site mechanic specializing in heavy-duty equipment, light to medium-duty trucks, and heavy-duty trucks. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other components commonly found in heavy-duty equipment and trucks. The primary responsibility will be to diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of heavy-duty machinery and trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety. Conduct thorough inspections of heavy-duty equipment, light to medium-duty trucks, and heavy-duty trucks to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. 2. Perform diagnostics using computerized diagnostic tools and traditional troubleshooting methods to identify the root cause of problems. 3. Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering mechanisms, and hydraulic systems. 4. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks, to ensure equipment and trucks operate efficiently. 5. Conduct performance tests and quality checks after repairs to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. 6. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and service history. 7. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on heavy-duty equipment and trucks to prevent accidents and injuries. 8. Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate repairs, schedule maintenance, and prioritize tasks to minimize downtime. 9. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in technology, and regulations related to heavy-duty equipment and truck maintenance. **Qualifications:** 1. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in diesel mechanics or a related field is preferred. 2. Proven experience as a mechanic specializing in heavy-duty equipment and trucks, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. 3. Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components commonly found in heavy-duty equipment and trucks. 4. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, computerized systems, and repair manuals to troubleshoot and repair complex issues. 5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to accurately diagnose and repair equipment and truck problems. 7. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects in various weather conditions. 8. Valid driver's license and clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus. 9.
