WHAT YOU'LL DO As the Assistant General Manager, you’ll be instrumental in achieving operational excellence. In this role, you will: Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, from guest services to housekeeping and food & beverage. Lead and motivate department heads to achieve their goals, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency. Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and expense control. Handle guest feedback, resolving issues and enhancing the overall guest experience. Assist in hiring, training, and developing a talented and engaged team. Ensure compliance with all brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Take on additional duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the hotel. WHAT YOU BRING We’re seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader with a passion for hospitality. To excel in this role, you’ll need: At least 3 years of hotel management experience, with a proven track record of success. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets and forecasts. JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant General Manager works closely alongside our General Manager to create great experiences for our guests and an engaging workplace for employees. They are instrumental in the oversight and success of each hotel department. JOB DUTIES & FUNCTIONS: Work hand in hand with General Manager to ensure property exceeds guest satisfaction expectations and operating departments in an effective and profitable manner Create a friendly, attentive, courteous, and service oriented environment for guests and employees alike Ensure effective and profitable hotel operations across all departments Gain a strong understanding of all department operations with the support of training materials and property leaders Participate in revenue generating efforts (weekly revenue calls, month end P&L reviews etc.) Develop relationships and foster employee growth through scheduled 1:1’s Provide coverage when the General Manager is not on property Participate in recruiting and training efforts for all associates (ensuring brand and company trainings are completed on time) Adhere to company guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook Other duties as assigned by General Manager or Executive Leadership ABOUT YOU: Progressive experience in a major-branded property Strong interpersonal communication skills Effective problem solving in a fast-paced environment Strong critical thinking and ability to adapt in high pressure situations Basic financial acumen Proficient in branded property management systems and other company tools Willingness to flex schedule to accommodate property needs Valid Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR & First Aid certification preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid jury duty Paid time off Paid training Professional development assistance Referral program Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Ability to Relocate: Chandler, AZ 85225: Relocate before starting work (Required)
