Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Rehab Services Department Job Description: Staff Physical Therapist _ Job SummaryA Physical Therapist (PT) provides a variety of medical services to help individuals who have been injured or physically affected by illness to recover or improve function. A physical therapist must be able to evaluate a patient’s condition and devise a customized physical rehabilitation and treatment plan. The PT’s goal is to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability, in order to maximize quality of life. These professionals must exercise professional conduct as outlined in the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Conduct and follow all state laws and regulations as outlined by the Kentucky State Board of Physical Therapy. Reporting Relationships _ This position reports to the Director of Rehab and Assistant Director of Rehab Job Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited PT program with at least a Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. Master’s or Doctorate degree preferred Experience: No experience is required for this position Licensure/Certification: Possession of KY PT licensure is required for this role Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Proficient in the use of documentation and scheduling software Proficient in the use of email and Microsoft Word Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within and across teams and disciplines. Skilled in written and verbal communication. Demonstrate basic keyboarding and computer skills.
