Job Summary The Director of Finance will possess a strong understanding of all office programs and systems for assistance and support of executive director and other staff. Will be responsible for all financial processes, cash receipts, accounts payable, cash dibursements, campaign pledge processing, database records, customer statements, month-end processes, prepare monthly financials, audit preparation and assist with allocations. Duties (Administration & Finance) - Oversees all finance activities in cooperation with the Executive Director -Directs United Way accounting activities including preparing accounting entries, billings, and analysis/development of accounting information and financial reports; prepares all related financial statements and reports -Provides assistance in the development and control of internal operating budgets -Oversees the processing of all cash receipts, bank deposits and reconciliation of all banking activities -Assist Executive Director with payroll functions -Develops and manages all United Way data processing systems in support of financial, campaign, and allocations systems -Oversees the processing and payment of accounts payable transactions and all cash disbursements -Oversees accounts receivable functions including printing customer statements -Administers all financial month-end activities including closing out the United Way data processing system and preparing financials -Coordinates year-end external audit by independent accounting firm -Assist Executive Director with insurance for all United Way employees. Maintains all staff financial records -Participate in the Finance Committee monthly meeting and activities -Maintains accounting records and prepares regular financial reports for grants -Provides reporting and statistics to United Way of America -Prepares end-of-year receipts for donors -Maintains financials for other agencies as the fiscal agent Duties (Campaign Pledge Processing) -Develops and monitors procedures for auditing campaign contributions; manages campaign reporting systems and statistical records -Lead and support the annual review of Donation Tracker -Monitors outstanding United Way pledges and develops methods to enhance collection -Coordinate with Executive Director, Campaign Chair, and Marketing Director for campaign follow-up Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred - Experience with general ledgers, budget preparation, accounts receivable and payable Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Education: Bachelor's (Required) Experience: Accounts payable: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: Salina, KS 67401 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Salina, KS 67401: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
