Madelia Health is looking for a Full Time or PRN Radiologic Technologist to Join Our Team! **$5,000 Sign On Bonus for a Full Time 2 Year Commitment!** Hours: Full Time position 4 days per week that includes call rotation. Call is on rotation between four techs. If working as PRN the shifts would be on call at least one weekend per month. Wage Scale: $29.41-$43.88. The wage is based on the number of modalities you are proficient in and your level of experience. Job Type: Full Time, 36 hours weekly Qualifications: Education: Graduate of certified Radiologic Technology Program; ARRT Certified, current BLS certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire Experience: No experience necessary, new graduates are encouraged to apply! Certifications: ARRT (RT) required. Preferred ARRT (RT)(CT), or willing to obtain certification Background study and pre-employment drug testing required. Responsibilities : Prepares patients for X-Ray/CT/DXA exams, positions patients based upon the type of procedure to be performed. Administers contrast and starts IVs safely as ordered by the treating clinician. Adjusts switches regulating length and intensity of exposure. Maintains quality assurance by performing appropriate validity tests and keeping quality assurance records, as required by Equipment Manual. Reviews images in PACS prior to Radiologist review in PACS, send images as requested to outside facilities for continuity of care. Positions patient under X-Ray machine, adjusts immobilization devices, and provides appropriate radiation protection. Prepares reports and maintains records of services rendered. Maintains and operates all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures. Completes quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices as well as testing processes. Maintains supplies, cleans rooms and equipment, and stocks exam rooms. Notifies supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expected. Manages patient flow and volume. Keeps patients informed of expected wait times Responsible for clerical tasks associated with patient care and proper record keeping. Ensures accuracy in documentation. Answers telephone as needed. Attends staff meetings as required.
