Job Summary : The Controller oversees the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective financial management. This role involves developing financial policies, managing accounting staff, and supporting strategic financial decisions. Classification : Full-time Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, implement and execute financial policies and procedures. Oversee accounting functions (A/P, A/R, Finance, Compliance, Report submission) ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, financial statements and reconciliations. Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and standards. Conduct financial risk assessments and monitor internal controls. Support corporate financial decision-making processes. Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for improvements. Education : Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or financial management Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the USA Strong knowledge of State (Kentucky) and local (Owensboro, Daviess County) regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial software and tools . (Experience with PowerEnterprise ERP is a plus.) Strong leadership and communication skills. Physical Requirements: The physical requirements are within the general range of an office position. The job requires extensive wrist and hand movements for computer tasks, and a certain amount of stooping, bending, carrying, kneeling, walking, and moving bulky packages and boxes of heavy materials potentially weighing up to 50lbs. The job may require unusual or irregular work hours, but typically is a Monday through Friday schedule, 8 to 10 hours per day. All individuals are required to be able to perform these movements without significant risk of injury to themselves or others, or to otherwise demonstrate or explain how they can perform the essential functions of the job.
