The Clubhouse Manager will work with other department heads in providing a first-class service for both members and their guests. This upbeat and friendly atmosphere is well desired for our members at Le Sueur Country Club. This position will report directly to the Le Sueur Country Club Board of Directors. The following are but not limited to the success as clubhouse manager: 1.) Maintain all scheduling of staff for clubhouse and beverage cart service. This will include hiring, training (training should include POS systems, customer service, beverage knowledge, up-selling, member name recognition, menu knowledge, etc.), and scheduling. 2.) Develop a collaborative budget for the clubhouse in support of the Board agreed goals. Keep expenses within the budget that is provided. 3.) Responsible for all ordering of food, wine, liquor, beer. Maintaining proper inventories throughout the entire season in accordance with responsible cash flow. 4.) Maintain good working relationships with all vendors and purveyors. 5.) Obtain, sell, schedule events (weddings, graduations, retirement parties) in cooperation with other Club departments. 6.) Utilize social media (group email, Facebook, Twitter, snap chat, Instagram, etc.) on a frequent basis. This should include weekly specials, upcoming events, and other marketing essentials. 7.) Responsible for keeping the entire clubhouse area clean, properly stocked, and in working order. 8.) Work with the kitchen manager/cooks to determine and develop new menu ideas as needed. 9.) Provide necessary on-site work hours during the playing season as there is much downtime during the winter months. 10) Obtain and keep a Manager's Serv-Safe certifications as well as any other required certifications. The Club will pay for any necessary education/training needed upon approval of the Board of Directors. 11.) Always be a positive face for Le Sueur Country Club and our community. 12.) Have FUN! Compensation: The base salary will be $55k to $65K plus commission of sales depending on your experience and breadth of duties performed. In addition, event gratuities and house tips when working service shifts. The club is typically open for business March through October (8 months), with the offseason beginning in November. Average working hours in season will be 50 to 60+ hours a week. Much less in the off-season. Performance evaluations with salary reviews occur annually. In addition, 50% of individual health insurance premium if desired. Le Sueur Country Club will match 3% of employee’s compensation following a one-year probationary term.
