Job Title: Hardware Operations Specialist Department : Houchens Food Group, Ace Hardware Division Operations Reports To : Regional Director of Operations Location : Regional (must reside in Region of Position opening) Type : Full-time Job Summary The Ace Hardware Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the organization's day-to-day activities. This role involves coordinating various tasks, improving operational procedures, improving customer experiences, Asset management, Community involvement and working closely with different departments to support the company’s overall objectives. Key Responsibilities Process Improvement : Analyze and optimize current operational processes to increase efficiency and productivity. Data Management : Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company standards. Inventory database will be vital in the success of this position. Project Coordination : Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Reporting : Generate and present reports on operational metrics, highlighting key insights and areas for improvement. Monthly P&L review will be expected. Quality Assurance : Monitor and evaluate the quality of operations, implementing corrective actions when necessary. Customer focus is paramount. Communication : Liaise with different departments to ensure smooth operations and address any operational challenges. Support : Provide operational support to other team members and departments as needed. Budget : Responsible for creating with managers a comprehensive budget for sales, and labor. Profit and Loss : responsible for all locations to meet or exceed budgeted P&L expectations. Fully responsible for meeting all budgeted sales, expenses and shrink expectations. People Development : Responsible for the development of Managers and team members. recruit and attract new talent for growth while building the bench and having an acceptable workforce in each location. The ability to hire the right candidates to meet the needs of each location. Other Tasks : Other Tasks as assigned. Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred, Retail Operations Management experience in multi store retail environment in leu of degree acceptable. Experience : 5 years of experience in Retail operations, project management, or a related field. Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite and familiar with project management tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy. Competencies Operational Efficiency : Ability to streamline processes to improve operational effectiveness.
