Job Summary : The CDS Program Specialist for the Client Directed Services (CDS) department at MRCI will understand and implement CDS services affected by DHS licensing rules and the PCA Choice program. In addition, the Program Specialist will ensure all program requirements are met as well as program rules are followed in conjunction to the relative CDS programs. Arrange for and attend Qualified Professional meetings annually. Coordinate the efforts of the family, staff and other involved individuals to provide services to the program participants. Develop and initiate an appropriate Care Plan. Provide supervision, instruction and assistance to staff implementing the Care Plan. Maintain documentation of the individual participant’s progress, according to the program requirements. Input and monitor new budget, service authorizations, along with processing plan revisions. Assist with payroll resolution, enrolling and assisting direct care workers with online time keeping systems all while providing a high level of customer service. Perform other duties as assigned. To succeed in this position, you will: Have experience providing direct care services to people with disabilities or age 65 and older and one of the following qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a human service-related field plus one year of full-time work. Associate degree in a human service-related field plus two years of full-time work. Diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution plus three years of full-time work, OR Four years of full-time work experience under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications listed above and a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities. Have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Strong writing, reading and interpersonal communication abilities. Strong problem solving and reasoning skills. Demonstrated proficiency in computer-based office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent customer service skills. Ability and willingness to travel throughout Minnesota.
