Description: August Schell Brewing Company is a family-owned and operated brewery in New Ulm, Minnesota. We began in 1860 when August Schell, a German immigrant, couldn’t find a traditional German beer in his new home. So, he made his own. While the brewery has seen some changes, like plumbing, August’s legacy of being an innovative brewmaster remains. It has continued through six generations and over 100 variety of German Craft Beer. August Schell Brewing Company has an immediate opening for an experienced Filler Operator to join our team. Join Minnesota’s original craft brewery located in the heart of Southern Minnesota. This is a full-time position with full benefits. We are looking for a talented individual who wants to build a long-term career with us, be engaged, and help us continue to brew great beers! Responsibilities Regular sanitation and stellar cleaning of equipment and workspace Preparation and proper start-up processes necessary for each day of filling Operation of bottle filler machine and appropriate computer systems Operation of can filler machine and appropriate computer systems Troubleshooting any issues with filler machines Switching tanks of beer throughout the day as needed Proper communication with all other areas and operators to maintain maximum efficiency Completion of necessary documentation and a variety of forms Refilling of chemical containers when needed Reviewing all SOPs on a regular basis All other duties as assigned Requirements: Exceptional attention to detail Basic computer skills General mathematic skills Ability to diligently follow proper procedures, processes, and the like Must be able to frequently lift between 60-80 lbs Must be able to occasionally maneuver and handle 160 lbs Able to handle being on feet, in the standing position for most of the day Strong verbal communication skills Team player, thrives on collaboration, but is also independent in work duties Excellent work ethic and sense of accountability Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED 1-3 years of production manufacturing experience Preferred Skills Previous Forklift driving and operating experience Experience with computers August Schells Brewing Company is an equal-opportunity employer.
