Position Summary
The Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for fostering relationships between the project and the broader community, with a focus on manufacturing and agricultural communities. This role will play a key part in promoting equity, entrepreneurial imagination, and innovation in manufacturing through AI. The specialist will engage in outreach activities, coordinate educational initiatives, and build strong partnerships with local organizations, schools, and community stakeholders. Additionally, the role will involve organizing community meetings, hosting events, and maintaining regular communication through newsletters and other publications to ensure participants and stakeholders are informed of project progress. The Community Engagement Specialist will work closely with Dr. Beshoy Morkos and other project leaders to align outreach efforts with the project's overarching goals of empowering communities to enter the AI workforce and create AI-driven businesses. This position requires a commitment to advancing equity and inclusion while driving innovation in the manufacturing sector.
Continuation of this position is expressly contingent upon continuation of funding.
