Seeking 2nd Shift Maintenance Manager
Looking for an opportunity to be a Maintenance Manager on the 2nd shift in Owensboro, KY? The company produces sliced meat for one of the largest big-box stores in America. This plant operates 24/7 across three shifts and employs about 500 people. They are recession-proof and emerged stronger from the COVID-19 pandemic, with two facilities already running 24/7 and a third on the way . Employees are well rewarded for their efforts, and it's a fun, team-oriented place to work, complete with free lunch on Mondays . The company is expanding rapidly.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in food production/facility maintenance; 3 years of supervisory experience
• Experience with SQF or other GFSI programs
• College degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering; equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirements
• Must be a proactive team player who learns quickly when facing new challenges and is open to change
• Advanced mechanical and electrical skills
• Must be able to work with power tools and handle high and low voltages.
• Equipment knowledge of slicers, sealers, flow wrappers, and labelers, REQUIRED
• Ability to read engineering schematics such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic
• Welding experience
What you will do?
• Machine maintenance, breaking down equipment, adjusting and setting up for daily production.
• Perform preventative maintenance, which includes daily and weekly inspections of machines.
• Develops budgets for plant maintenance, projects and major and minor line improvements.
• Schedules, supervises, and direct work of the staff.
• Evaluates performance and works with Plant Manager regarding personnel issues.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
• Able to work overtime and on-call for emergency situations when needed. Weekend work required as needed
