Job Summary Responsible for the proper care, cleaning, decontamination, and distribution of equipment/supplies to departments in hospital. # Job Responsibilities Ensures policies, procedures, and practices of sterile processing comply with standards established by all regulatory agencies. Utilizes software program to locate sterile equipment to be delivered to other departments throughout the organization. Responsible for the proper care, cleaning, and decontamination of multiple pieces of equipment following the manufacturer#s instruction for use (IFU). Maintains urology carts and various code carts by restocking and removing outdated supplies. Answers telephone and provides customer service throughout the organization. Scans work productivity into the electronic tracking system. Qualifications High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferred No experience required No licensure/certification/registration required Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under direct supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Learning and applies knowledge at a basic level relying heavily on senior staff for troubleshooting.
