Responsibilities will include research and understanding of the new chemistries being applied to the field. ExpectationsR&D Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of development of Flow Battery MembranesBuild knowledge and understanding of the flow battery space and how our membrane could be deployed.Build knowledge of Polypores; extrusion and allied processes.Be involved in the development of membranes from prototype to production scale.Research and determine test protocols necessary for the flow batter and where necessary create new ones.Share information clearly in meetings, presentations or technical reports to management and other stakeholders.Willing to accept and assume new responsibilities.Ability to work as a member of a team.Ability to work unsupervised.Working ConditionsWork will require standing and walking for up to 25% of the time. Lighting and temperature is adequate. Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount to force frequently to left, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Most Work will be in either lab or office setting.Candidate RequirementsEducation: BS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry Degree or other related technical degree.
