2025 Summer Internship – Salina, KS
Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. is currently taking applications for our 2025 Summer Internship Program. These internships will be in the Salina, KS area. Our interns work full-time from Mid-May to Mid-August and earn $20 per hour!
Each of our Summer Interns complete a project with a mentor and supportive peers, allowing them to apply their college knowledge in the workplace and gain practical work experience.
We also organize activities during the summer to give you the opportunity to get to know other interns and Great Plains employees through casual events like laser tag, paintball, bowling, speed networking and community activities.
Our Lean Engineer Interns will be assigned to one of our facilities in the Salina, KS area and work on a project in Lean Engineering that relates to manufacturing or industrial engineering in the process of manufacturing equipment or shipping completed goods.
Required Qualifications
• Current college student working toward a 4-year Engineering degree in a relevant field, preferably Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar major
• Willingness to live within a 20-mile radius of Salina, KS for the entire summer (Housing will be provided for interns who attend college outside of the Salina area.)
• Ability to travel to another plant or facility during the course of your internship
• You must have a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle throughout the summer
