Job Title: Production Supervisor
Pay Range: $32-$42/hr plus overtime
Shift(s) available: 3pm - 11pm, potential overtime daily and weekends (usually Saturday if necessary). Most Supervisors work about 45 hours a week during a normal work week of Monday-Friday as the expectation is to arrive approximately 30 minutes before the shift for planning and 30 minutes after for shift hand-offs and documentation.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee the manufacturing process and ensure that production targets are met efficiently and effectively. This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for managing a team of production workers and ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets
- Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Train, mentor, and motivate production workers to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to resolve production issues and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning
- Identify training needs and provide ongoing development opportunities for production team members
Experience:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment (1-2 years experience required)
- Strong knowledge of production processes, including basic math calculations, materials handling, machine operations, plastics injection/extrusion, caliper usage, and assembly techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse team
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting
