Cold Stone Creamery is seeking an Assistant Manager! We are a high-growth, fast paced company that loves serving our customers and communities the best premium ice cream in the world. Cold Stone Creamery serves up the finest, freshest ice cream, cakes, smoothies and shakes using only the highest quality ingredients, and of course, our signature process of preparing your custom ice cream creation on a frozen granite stone. We are looking for a self-disciplined individual who has great initiative, leadership ability, and an outgoing personality. You maintain a pleasant, polite manner, as well as a neat and clean appearance. You motivate employees and encourage them to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet the appropriate standards. You are able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide-range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions when restaurant problems arise. You have good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff. You have the ability to coordinate multiple tasks such as food, beverage, and labor cost while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide leadership that promotes the highest standard of integrity, honesty, and respect for self, employees, customers, & vendors. Monitor inventory and assist with ordering process Assist Store Manager with daily store operations including making weekly schedules, conducting interviews, training new employees, making ice cream, complying with food safety rules/procedures, following up on work results of tasks assigned to employees. Ensure that customers have a great experience when visiting store Find innovative ways to promote Cold Stone by connecting with local businesses and surrounding communities Open or close store according to shift Prepare and serve frozen ice cream creations, desserts, milkshakes, cakes and beverages Maintain clean, organized and inviting customer and employee areas Computer, POS and cash handling experience Other duties as assigned WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays (based on business needs). Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds. Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones and or computers. QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ year’s restaurant/food service experience Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to coach, train and motivate employees Experience with food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, and record keeping Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word High School degree required Cake decorating experience is a plus!
