Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and analyze financial data for city management, state and county regulators, and auditors.
• Generate and review monthly and quarterly reports.
• Lead and collaborate on the preparation of annual budget plans.
• Maintain financial data, records, and reports in line with guidelines, procedures, and regulations.
• Oversee year-end audit preparation and financial statement preparation.
• Contribute to long-term planning initiatives.
• Enhance and maintain existing reporting processes.
• Communicate and consult with all levels of client leadership.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
• Provide financial analysis for special projects and initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting or auditing practices.
• Familiarity with accounting processes, policies, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial planning.
• Understanding of auditing standards, relevant software applications, and federal and state regulations.
• Collaborative spirit and ability to adapt to change.
