Job Description
Job Brief
Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk verifies, maintain, and processes records on incoming or outgoing shipment.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Prepare bills of lading for each shipment; check and record all items loaded for shipment.
2. Enter order numbers into computer and prepare picking list. Print and distribute copies to proper personnel.
3. Maintain shipping records such as raw material receivers, pick orders, and other shipping and receiving activities.
4. Check received goods against purchase orders as to quantity, identification, and type. Report immediately any concealed shortage or damaged items.
5. Checks items to be shipped against shipping orders to ensure correct materials, quantity, and identification. Verify that all loads have been shipped.
6. Communicate with production personnel regarding product shortages, production status, new orders, or changes.
7. Maintain inventory for promotional materials; package and ship as needed.
8. Answer phones for the shipping and receiving department.
9. Follow all company established clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.
