Description Operates equipment and machinery. Performs maintenance/labor on grounds, equipment, property, and facilities.
Starting pay $22.1685/hr.

Examples of Duties Primary essential duties include but are not limited to:
• Operates aerial bucket truck, dump trucks, payloaders, backhoe, and other equipment;
• Hauls dirt and sand;
• Renovates turf and re-seeds;
• Performs pesticide applications;
• Maintains grounds by mowing, trimming grass, edging, etc.;
• Maintains athletic courts and fields;
• Maintains Parks restrooms and other properties and facilities;
• Performs snow removal;
• Sets up for festivals;
• Inspects and performs routine and preventative  maintenance  on  property,  facilities,  and  equipment  to ensure they are in proper condition for the public and  employees;
• Performs and/or assists in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, welding, etc. involving grounds, equipment, properties, and facilities.
Typical Qualifications Required at time of application :
• High school diploma or GED, and
• Minimum 1 year experience in equipment operation (e.g., laborers, etc. as long as 1 year equipment operation experience).
• Valid driver's license
Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable.
• Valid CDL, Class B or higher (required within 11 months after hire);
• KY pesticide license (required within 11 months after hire)
