As a procurement professional, the Buyer will carry out processes, standards, and operational plans in support of purchasing activities, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis. Plus, we’ll support your growth with paid-for external training programs and courses.Key ResponsibilitiesProcure $40-$60 million worth of production componentsProvide quality service while following company policy and facilitating seamless order entryMinimize inefficiencies promptlyEstablish effective contact with cross-functional teams; support communication and idea generationPrepare sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and present alternative solutionsSupport multiple product lines, lead and develop a supply base of 60-80 suppliersInitiate/execute strategies that drive supplier cost reduction, quality, and accountabilityBasic Qualifications Associate degree3+ years of purchasing experiencePreferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degreeNegotiating skills regarding contracts/pricingAble to thrive in a dynamic environmentExperience in the manufacturing industry, OEM, and/or supply chain managementEnglish written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter capable of working with minimal oversight and proactive in seeking solutionsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MRP/ERP system experienceDemonstrate initiative while working with different sides of the businessRSRCAR#LI-onsite Carrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
