Forklift Operator Opportunity in Martinsville, VA
Job Summary
We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Forklift Operator to join our growing operation. In this role, you will work in our shipping and receiving department operating a Forklift to transport merchandise to designated areas throughout the Warehouse. Assist with stocking and retrieving merchandise stored on various levels to lift, carry, move, and position palletized products.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Transport merchandise using lift truck or high reach to designated areas within warehouse which may include loading, unloading, and order picking
• Assist with stocking and retrieving merchandise stores on various levels using lift truck/high reach to lift, carry, move, and position palletized merchandise
• Keep neat and orderly records of all incoming and outgoing orders
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Operate lift truck/high reach in a safe manner
Requirements and Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• 1 year forklift experience preferred
• Able to sit/stand your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift 30 lbs. regularly
• Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases
• Good communication skills
• Submit to Drug Screen and Background Search
• Must be comfortable working in heights up to 30 feet
