Administrative Assistant II - Case Management Non-Clinical Support Hours: M-F 0800-1630 Days - Full-time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: 11H -
Job Summary Performs a variety of administrative/clerical duties for the Case Management department. # Job Responsibilities Provides administrative support in the Case Management department including answering/routing telephone calls/messages/emails and scanning regulatory documents into electronic medical record (EMR). Obtains insurance authorizations/denials for hospitalization and documents required information in the EMR as assigned. Communicates insurance clinical requirements to the utilization review (UR) nurse and documents in the EMR as assigned. Completes certificate of birth, certificate of stillbirth, and paternity affidavits per state guidelines as assigned. Performs patient placement duties for admissions and transfers in coordination with House Supervisor, UR nurse, and environmental services as assigned. Assists discharge planners as assigned. Maintains Notary of Public as directed. Maintains work area and related supplies and equipment. Qualifications High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire A minimum of 2 years# relevant experience required No licensure/certification/registration required Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under general supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.
