Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to join our team in Sarasota, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and civil engineering background in Land Development with stormwater experience. The Project Engineer will work closely with multiple project managers to provide design and engineering support for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal capital improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide design and engineering support for land development projects, focusing on stormwater management.
• Work collaboratively with project managers to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and reports using AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater software such as ICPR.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal permitting agencies to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders through verbal and written communication.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Current Florida Engineering Intern (E.I) or Professional Engineer (P.E) certification.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Modret, ICPR (stormwater software), and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Exposure to or desire to practice in the discipline of private and public site and civil engineering design.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal permitting processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with MS Office and WaterCAD.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Keen enthusiasm for generating and pursuing business opportunities.
• Strong self-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Open to candidates within a 100-mile radius, including Tampa and Bradenton areas.
• Willing to relocate the right candidate.
• Flexible start and end times.
• Hybrid work model available for candidates living in the Tampa area.
Location: Sarasota, FL 34240 (40 minutes from Tampa, FL)
Salary: $75K - $90K (depending on experience)
Hours and Shift: Monday – Friday, 8am - 5pm (Flexible hours)
Work from Home: Possible hybrid 2 days a week if residing in Tampa area
