HEALTH AND SAFETY COORDINATOR Under the supervision of the Green House Director of Operations and Dublin Distribution Center Warehouse Manager this position is responsible for organizing and monitoring our Health and Safety program, including ensuring compliance with surveys and certifications. Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions. Position will support corporate Senior Compliance Specialist in ESG Compliance program. SAFETY · Identify safety best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk, raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices. · Conduct and coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws/regulations, hazardous conditions monitoring, first aid/first responder blood borne pathogen, respirator and use of safety equipment and PPE. · Conduct Safety Committee meetings and follow up on committee recommendations. · Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance (i.e. OSHA). · Investigates accidents, near-miss accidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes and implement preventative measures. · Facilitates a work environment that supports and promotes a safe and healthy culture. Provides coaching, mentoring and guidance to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes. · Provides safety, health, accident prevention and investigation training for managers and supervisors. · Ensures company compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. ENVIROMENTAL, SOCIAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE · Monitor the Dublin location compliance programs to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements · Proactively identifies opportunities to minimize exposure, assessing potential risks and implementing preventative measures to ensure the organization's operations remain compliant and secure · Maintain vendor onboarding procedures, including due diligence checks and risk assessments · Coordinate with leadership, supply-chain, and legal teams to ensure all vendor agreements comply with organization policies and regulatory requirements · Support systems and controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations Education Requirements Secondary Education- Bachelor's Degree preferred Certification Requirements OSHA Certification Required Skills 2 years of related experience. Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures. Experience and knowledge of proper handling, safety procedures, and safe application of chemical pesticides. Solid organizational skills with a strong focus on attention to detail. Ability to work independently, multi-task, manage competing priorities, and meet all deadlines. Qualifications - Must have a strong foundation in OSHA regulations, occupational health practices, and EHS protocols. - Experience in providing training and development in health and safety procedures. - Knowledge of workers' compensation processes and laws. - Preferred certifications in first aid, CPR, and familiarity with EPA guidelines.
