Job Summary Responsible for developing and implementing market share strategies targeting the increase of visibility of Owensboro Health Regional Hospital to servicing EMS agencies within the community. Responsible for the collaboration and coordination with service line leaders, Emergency Department Leadership, Senior Leadership and Program Coordinators, providing timely feedback, quality metrics and educational opportunities to the Emergency Medical Service agencies. # Job Responsibilities Serves as a consultant to all federal, state and regional EMS agencies while representing Owensboro Health in all activities. Monthly collaboration, coordination and reporting with ED Leadership and service line leadership for analytical evaluations and measurement of quality metrics. Proactive collaboration and coordinated efforts with EMS management, leadership and partners towards education and training readiness. Participates and provides updates in weekly ED meetings, monthly divisional meetings and service line meetings, as appropriate. Provides oversight and management of disaster response supplies, monitoring availability and expiration dates. Represents pre-hospital interests in the SafeKids Worldwide collaborative program. Provides oversight and management of the regional event medicine team. Establishes and maintains outreach programs to provide a better experience for EMS personnel interfacing with the hospital. Provides efforts with service line leaders to monitor provided care, identify trends and ensure compliance with program standards and regulations. Qualifications High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire A minimum of 3 years# relevant experience required AEMT - Certified in Advanced Emergency Medical Technician in State of Kentucky required within 90 days of employment in this position OR Paramedic - Licensed Paramedic in the state of Kentucky required within 90 days of employment in this position AND ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Healthcare Provider required upon hire AND BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required upon hire AND PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required upon hire Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
