Fondomonte Arizona LLC is currently recruiting for an Accountant II to join our Goodyear Team! Fondomonte is a vertically integrated farming operation that includes growing, harvesting and exporting of forage products. We are looking for someone who has a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), strong financial analysis skills, is highly organized, strong Excel skills and is detail-oriented. The Accountant II will support and manage financial reports, perform account reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, and assist with audit preparation. This is an in-office position M-Friday 7:00 - 4:00 Key Responsibilities To assist in the provision (accuracy, relevance, and timeliness) of re-occurring (daily, weekly, monthly) and ad hoc management information in relation to each entity/operation/project under control Assist management with monthly BPR (Business Process Review) Prepare & provide written commentary and analysis for the monthly Executive Report each month Ensure all monthly accounting activities are processed in time and in line with group accounting policies Assist Management in ensuring that all funding arrangements are executed in line with group treasury guidelines Support, cross train and deputize for the treasury manager to support the department Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process Work with external auditors to support the adhoc and annual financial audits Support month-end and year-end close process Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Reconciling sales and cost of goods monthly Work with key stakeholders to reconcile and resolve variances within the transportation and logistics GL’s Update, complete and circulate the monthly reporting requirements Assist in annual and 5 year budget planning Assist in monthly forecasting Performs other accounting responsibilities as requested or assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS BS/BA degree in accounting or a combination of education and experience.
