Swim Head Coach High School
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Swim Head Coach for our high school team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching and developing young athletes, as well as a background in competitive swimming. Practicing Catholic preferred.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for the swim team
• Provide instruction and guidance to athletes on proper swimming techniques and strategies
• Plan and organize team practices and meets
• Monitor and evaluate athlete performance and progress
• Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and school administration
• Ensure compliance with all school and district policies and regulations
Requirements
• Previous experience as a swim coach
• Strong knowledge of competitive swimming techniques and strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire athletes
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Must be 21 years of age and preferably 64 college hours
• Must meet qualifications to be a KHSAA coach
• Must complete the Diocese of Owensboro safe environment training and a background check
