Job description
Job Title: ForeverWell Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Part-time (20+ hours/week)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The ForeverWell Coordinator, under the direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for the development and coordination of the new ForeverWell program. This new program is an ever-expanding set of YMCA programs and activities designed to help improve older adults (55+) overall wellbeing through physical fitness, socialization and community engagement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversee and direct the development, promotion, implementation and evaluation for the ForeverWell program agreement.
2. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, evaluate and schedule ForeverWell staff and Volunteers.
3. Develop, implement, maintain and evaluate procedures, policies, programs and activities that ensure the safety of participants and staff and the cleanliness of all related department program and office areas.
4. Create and teach direct social and group exercise activities in-person and virtually.
5. Facilitate or conduct daily ForeverWell participant phone calls.
6. Conduct new ForeverWell member orientations and tours.
7. Assist with the development and management of the department budget.
8. Maintain a high level of customer service through open and frequent communication with participants and staff.
9. Maintain a flexible work schedule to include mornings, evenings and occasional weekends based on the program needs.
10. Manage and deliver programs to a diverse population.
11. Follow all YMCA policy and procedures including Child Abuse Prevention.
12. Participate in staff trainings, meetings, conferences and other activities as requested.
13. Maintain active CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
14. Other duties as directed by the Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in programs for older adults is preferred
• Education preferred - degree in the Health and Science or related field
• Never been convicted of any child abuse including sexual abuse
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong and effective organization skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with individuals and build community within a group
• Prior experience in supervision, program development and implementation are preferred
• Proficient computer skills and online virtual training platforms
• Warm, Friendly and outgoing personality
• Ability to obtain a National Group Exercise Certification within 90 days of hire
• Acquire CPR/First Aid/AED certification with 90 days of hire
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations (depending upon the programs). Perform all physical aspects of the position, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time. The ability to calmly and effectively react in an emergency situation.
