Overview
This position is training to become a point of customer contact for custody transfer gas volumes, gas quality and gas measurement requirements at all receipts, deliveries and company used measurement points. Autonomously ensure accurate timely gas measurement data by monitoring gas measurement activities and communicating with internal and external customers resolving any gas measurement issues. Activities can include but not limited to data analysis of volume, quality, and system loss information. This position partners with multiple internal departments including Business Intelligence, Field Measurement Services, and Rates.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Interpret electronic flow measurement exception reports and analyze flow measurement data ensuring accuracy in volume calculation and customer invoicing
• Responsible for understanding gas measurement terminology associated with electronic flow measurement
• Review electronic flow measurement events and alarms by identifying equipment and operational problems assuring accurate volume calculations
• Analyze electronic flow measurement gas quality data and make appropriate modifications when necessary
• Notify field personnel of suspected measurement problems and ensure problem resolution
• Acquire and validate measurement information from customer companies for third party audits
• Solve missing third-party volumes and monitor and report on gas quality
• Send out and track standard audit packages to customers
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum:
• Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience
• Entry-level experience
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to learn basic knowledge in Microsoft Office, and/or other computer applications
• Ability to prioritize and complete assigned duties in a timely manner
• Performs effectively as a team member and able to work independently as knowledge of the systems and processes is gained
Preferred:
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
• Advanced experience with Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerBI, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and PI Vision
• Knowledge of Company Commercial business processes and systems, including its FERC Gas Tariff or other natural gas company tariff
• Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 18
Other requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and insurability
• Ability to effectively prioritize in a high-stress, demanding environment while remaining positive
• Ability to compile, research, and analyze technical information
