Description
Join our dynamic team at ISG , a leading architecture and engineering firm, as an Information Security Specialist.  This role ensures the secure operation of in-house computer systems, servers and networks.
In this role, you will work directly with Eric Eby , Director of IT. You will also collaborate with a dedicated team of IT professionals, along with supporting the overall firm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Assist with detecting, investigating, and defending against IT security threats targeting ISG’s systems and data.
• Support ISG’s day to day activities and system usage.
• Monitoring of server and firewall logs, scrutinizing network traffic, managing anti-virus software, and remediating all security incidents.
• Analyze and resolve security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of security enhancement and development efforts.
• Monitor and maintain current knowledge of emerging security alerts, issues, threats and trends.
• Conduct technical assessments of information security incidents, including malware analysis, packet level analysis and system level forensic analysis.
• Recommend, schedule, and apply fixes, security patches, disaster recovery procedures, and any other measures required in order to address security breaches.
• Deploy and maintain security systems and corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems and antivirus software.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Progress toward a 4-year bachelor’s or 2-year associate’s degree.
• Experience with VMware, VDI, Office 365 E5, or Fortinet.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated track record of successful past employment.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
