Server Assistant
Position Title: Food & Beverage Server Assistant
Reports to: Dining Room Supervisor, Food & Beverage Director
Supervises: None
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary
The Food & Beverage Server Assistant is a hands-on position responsible for setting and cleaning dining room tables before, during and after meal service in assigned food & beverage venues and assisting servers with other tasks as needed while ensuring the highest level of member and guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
• Reports to work on time and in proper uniform
• Follows all club standards and practices pertaining to table setting, order taking and sequence of service
• Assists Servers in setting up, service, and cleaning of member dining room
• Attends pre-shift line-up to receive daily information
• Assists in carrying food trays to tables
• Removes soiled dishes from table and properly disposes of them in the dishwashing area
• Removes soiled linen and replaces with clean linen
• Sets tables according to club standard or best practice
• Keeps dining room and service area clean and organized during service
• Stocks server stations
• Assist banquet personnel in set up and/or cleanup of banquet functions as needed
• Helps set up, maintenance, and break down of buffets
• Maintains knowledge of menu items and daily specials
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor or other department heads
Education And/Or Experience
• High School diploma or equivalent;
• Minimum of one year of experience in food & beverage service industry;
• Private club experience a plus.

Physical Requirements
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
• Must be able to move about the dining room to service guests
• Continuous repetitive motions
• Requires carrying of trays at shoulder level weighing up to 10 lbs.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional pushing and pulling of items up to 50 lbs.
