Associate Financial Advisor
At TalentWealth Recruiting we assist independent Wealth Management firms across the country in hiring top professionals to join their practices. Our client in Owensboro, KY is an independent wealth management team that manages over $250M in assets and is seeking a sharp, motivated, and detail-oriented Associate Financial Advisor to join their team.
The Associate Advisor works with the Advisory team on all aspects of wealth management, including managing client relationships, identifying and meeting client needs, and supporting the implementation of financial plans. The Associate Advisor is not expected to create new client introductions, however, the Associate Advisor is responsible for maintaining the team’s client service model, directing the planning and onboarding processes, and deepening the client relationship with a subset of already established clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the Senior Advisor to further develop and enhance existing client relationships.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients on any non-administrative requests/needs
• Assist with and attend client meetings and discussions covering investment strategy, account performance, and market developments.
• Prepare client meeting materials including financial planning, asset allocation, and investment performance reports.
• Work with the Senior Advisor and Operations Team to follow up on all outstanding items from client meetings.
• Assist in the execution of client recommendations
• Assist the Senior Advisor in evaluating client financial strategies and decisions by conducting financial analyses on a wide range of investment, tax, estate, and financial planning topics
• Manage all cash activity and money movement for client cash reserve accounts
• Assist the Client Advisory team as needed
• Quarterly and ad-hoc performance reports for advisors
• Manage workflow and prioritize projects
• Monitor the team’s client service model.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• FINRA series 7, 66 (or 65,63)
• Certified Financial Planner designation a plus
• Experience with goals-based planning software a plus
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and listening skills
• Ability to understand and explain sophisticated financial concepts and issues
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, able to set priorities, self-starter
• Financial planning/wealth management acumen, judgment, and experience
• Passionate about doing what is best for clients and limiting conflicts inherent in the broader industry
• Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others
• Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
