Channel Development Manager
Yanmar Compact Equipment North America designs, manufactures and supports a complete range of compact equipment including compact track loaders, mini excavators, wheel loaders and construction equipment for use in such markets as construction, landscaping, utility, land management and agriculture. The products are sold primarily through a third party, independent dealer network.
Position Summary:
The Channel Development Manager will be instrumental in helping develop and drive new profitable dealer relationships for YCENA. This role will assist with recruiting dealers and develop channel objectives by enhancing and increasing YANMAR/ASV dealer networks in North America. Assisting with channel opportunities to secure profitable revenue growth, while supporting the YCENA Channel strategy for the assigned North American Region. This is a full-time salaried exempt remote position. While this is a remote position to be located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Area. Relocation Available. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Channel Development.
Job Functions:
Support the growth of channel network of Construction Equipment Division to increase revenue, profit and overall growth.
Implementation of the dealer onboarding process.
Support BDM's with Dealer onboarding training.
Assist BDM's with prospecting, establishing and developing new dealers through analysis, guidelines, and roadmaps to enhance distribution channel.
Using research and data, provide industry insights to management, BDM's and others while providing support with Channel strategy.
Focus on assigned key dealers within the channel network to improve dealer partnership, capabilities and growth.
Work with Regional Business Development Director, Senior Channel Development Manager and Business Development Managers (BDM's) to discover, recruit and sign new dealers for the CE product lines in open markets within a defined geographic territory.
Assist in the implementation of Dealer Certification Program.
Provide analysis regarding existing dealership opportunities, market share and competitive channel. Review and report on weekly activities.
Perform other duties as required.

All levels of Yanmar management, leadership and other employees, dealers, colleagues and customers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Five (5) years sales, territory management, and marketing experience in the construction equipment market, compact construction or Agriculture equipment strongly preferred.
Experience in managing a dealer network and external customer accounts.
Experience with and basic knowledge of laws pertaining to equipment dealerships.
Experience with business travel as part of fulfilling job role.
Experience with Marketshare data, (AEM,UCC,EDA)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Presentations skills Present territory analysis to YCENA leadership as well as dealers.
Communication Excellent verbal, written and e-communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Initiative Maintain and complete projects with supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce and/or other CRM solutions.
Problem Solving and collaboration skills.
TRAVEL:
Ability to travel; domestic and international. Approximately 50% Travel
