JOB SUMMARY Our Director of Sales is a highly result driven sales professional who is adaptable and organized. Responsible for leading and managing the sales team and all sales efforts. This person enjoys interacting with our clients, guests and associates and is passionate about the performance of our hotel. This individual develops relationships to secure business on new and existing accounts and keeps long-term revenue goals in mind. Key Duties and Responsibilities Be proactive and prompt with a strong attention to detail and communication skills Act with integrity, is a team player and has the spirit to serve Prepare and distribute annual business plans with assistance from GM Responsible for booking wedding and corporate groups Initiate and log in Delphi 30-60 leads per week Be involved in the community by participating in at least one professional organization Attend all sales related meetings & provide weekly sales reports Participates in BEO meetings Detail BEO's and contracts to ensure client needs are met and recorded Complete and submit any billing needs, required reports, payments or receipts in a timely manner Perform at least 10 outside sales calls/month, and at least 1 sales blitz/quarter Assist in the execution of events as needed Answer calls and give prospect tours Be knowledgeable in room rates, discounts, or current promotions Assist in budget planning Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals Out of the box thinking General Expectations Adhere to all company policies Ensure personal appearance is clean and is in uniform as assigned Understand and adhere to basic hotel safety, security and emergency procedures Assists in other departments as needed Perform other property specific job-related duties as needed by your supervisor or direct reports Essential Skills and Experience Reliable, self-motivated and good time management Be proactive and prompt with a strong attention to detail and communication skills Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, some holidays, days and nights Must be able to remain stationary or move continuously 50% of the time, ability to move about on property, ability to operate a computer or other office equipment, move around the office or property, exchange information with guests over the phone and in person, and has the ability to move items weighing 50 pounds or 20 pounds above the shoulder Ability to work with cleaning chemicals per Federal, State, Terratron and Brand policies Strong skills in oral and written communication and computer knowledge This job description does not contain a comprehensive list of all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the associate.
