Mr. Fries Man is a family-owned restaurant part of a revolutionary underground foodie frenzy that started in Los Angeles. In 2016, Craig Batiste, co-owner along with his wife Dorothy, is one of several urban chefs in LA that have worked their way up from a home kitchen to a restaurant in Gardena, CA. Their strong social media presence captivated their audience, which resulted in a remarkable following. After a few years of operation, they decided to open up to franchising across the country. The Greenville, SC location is the first location in the state of South Carolina. Voted Best of SC Regional Winner in 2024! The SC location is an independently owned and operated franchised business. Position Summary To represent Mr. Fries Man in a professional manner to reflect values and standards of its mission, goals, and values. Responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with Mr. Fries Man recipes. Responsible for ensuring that the final plate preparation and presentation is within Mr. Fries Man standards. To provide friendly, responsive, and exceptional customer service to all Mr. Fries Man guests. Essential Responsibilities Greets customers Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, French fries, and other food items for cooking in ovens and fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment. Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served. Knows and complies with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures. Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period. Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications. Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, sinks, ovens, fryers, etc. Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes. Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed. Prepare drive thru orders, handle drive thru transactions and ensure food is delivered promptly and courteously. Handle front end transactions using point of sale system, opening and closing duties, as needed. Performs dishwashing and proper cleaning of all areas throughout shift. Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations and assists others in closing the kitchen. Takes necessary meal and rest breaks accordingly. Clocks in and out of the restaurant in a timely manner. Attends all scheduled meetings/training and brings suggestions for improvements. Other duties assigned by Mr. Fries Man. Education/Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required Restaurant experience preferred but not required Cash handling experience a plus Possess basic math skills and can operate a cash register or Point of Sale system. Current and valid Food Handler’s Certificate Must be 16 years of age or older Physical Demands Stands/walks continuously (up to 5 hours) through the shift. Frequent bending, bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat, use hands, reaching or grasping with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work under pressure and be flexible to work long, sometimes irregular hours including weekends and holidays. Working Environment Must comply with Company’s Appearance and Dress Code standard as set forth in the Employee Handbook. Works primarily in the kitchen, where air may be moist, warm, and odorous from cooking foods. Kitchen floors are uneven and may be slippery from moisture and grease.
