Production Scheduler

We're currently looking for an experienced Production Scheduler to join our dynamic Supply Chain team.
Responsibilities
• Create jobs in Syteline based on CO's LC tab date, process workbench in Syteline, verify routing on jobs.
• Review job dates and adjust based on production schedule.
• Run systems' split.
• Work with buyers and vendors to minimize stock outs.
• Process order acknowledgements and obtain vendor confirmation, generate and review reports, follow up as necessary.
• Review past due PO's and work with vendors.
• Review material requirements and vendor commitments with Purchasing (confirm materials on hand and change BOM's).
• Place orders for inventory items and Maintenance, Repairs and Operations (MRO) items and handle all special material requests (SMR's).
• Complete various order processing activities including PO receiving, drop ships and invoice/PO corrections.
• Upload new vendor pricing items into vendor cross reference, set up lead time, order minimums, multiples and standardize costs.
• Communicate and follow-up with vendors and internal customers.
• Coordinate return goods and communicate to all involves.
• Check negative on-hand reports and investigate daily.
• Investigate expedites from requirement reports and communicate to production scheduling department as needed.
Requirements
• Minimum one year purchasing experience required.
• Clear and precise oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to question and evaluate systems/procedures to find the most efficient uses, better communications and process improvements.
• Ability to deal effectively with buyers and vendors promoting a positive company image while ensuring the most advantageous relationship with vendors is maintained.
• Strong reasoning and independent decision making skills
• Ability to work with PC's (MS Office) and business Operating Systems.
