**Job Overview** New Ulm Bus Lines is looking for safe, reliable drivers to transport students to and from school. Around 475 hundred thousand School buses transport 25 million students each school year. For school buses to transport these students, they need people from the community to drive then. Heros of the community are needed all through out the US to complete this task. Here at New Ulm Bus Lines, we will help get you set up to drive a school bus. Need a CDL, no problem we can help with that. Driving a school bus is a rewarding job, you can take your own children to their sporting events and in some opportunities even to and from school. Be their bus driver for all their career in school. That is a memory only a school bus driver can offer. We are seeking a responsible and experienced Bus Driver to transport passengers safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, behavior management, and educating passengers on safety and rules. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about driving and making a positive impact on their community. **Duties** - Safely operate a bus to ensure the well-being and safety of passengers, while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. - Manage the behavior of passengers, including children and individuals with special needs, and provide guidance and support when necessary. - Educate passengers on safety procedures, including emergency evacuation protocols and proper use of safety equipment. - Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner. - Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure the bus is in good working condition, and report any maintenance issues to the maintenance department. - Drive a commercial vehicle, which may include a paratransit bus, and maintain a valid commercial driver's license. - Write reports on any incidents or accidents that may occur during transportation. - Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations. - Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing excellent service. - Ability to manage behavior and communicate effectively with passengers. - Proficiency in writing and reporting incidents or accidents. - Ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary certifications or clearances.
