In this role, you’ll be accountable to hit the following numbers each week: Weekly estimating and sales goals Our company runs on EOS purely. Ensure that all pre-production work is complete and in place before staffing jobs. Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers. Promote cooperation, communication, and coordination between the job site and the office. This is also to include all required reports and paperwork submitted on time and in the proper format. Meet sales and performance goals. Ensure that the information flow and instructions needed to complete the job is shared between Estimators, Superintendents, and Foremen and ensure that the process is efficient. Ensure effective communication with the customer, supplier/manufacturer, and consultant. Responsible for accurate Edge Takeoff estimates. Estimating of assigned projects and responsible for budgets. Responsible for roof and waterproof system design evaluation, VE estimating, estimating (jobs). Must respond to emails and phone calls promptly. Responsible for shop drawings, pre-project review, and job site visits. Responsible for submittals, submittal review, and submittal revisions. Responsible for projections, PO's, foreman books, safety plan, equipment ordering, job set-up packets/paperwork, incident review, and post job debrief. Quality Control by ensuring all work is completed in a craftsman-like manner and to the specification, and satisfaction of the customer. Monitor the financial status of each project, such as expenditures. Identify financial variances such as under or over budget and implement corrective actions. Completing construction projects includes directing construction requirements, comparing construction results to plans, coordinating with general contractors, compiling, and estimating change orders, scheduling inspections, and resolving problems. Show ability to recognize and deal with priorities consistently. Complete all required work quickly and accurately and ensure that all needed paperwork is completed. Responsible for change order request log, job transfers, work orders, RFI/ASI's, and review EWA's. Review safety plans with Safety Director and ensure the safety of field personnel. Responsible for safety audits and safety set up (at bid). Attend staff meetings, billing meetings, scheduling meetings, evening meetings, and safety meetings. Community involvement/volunteer work. Competencies Qualified candidate will benefit from having experience with Edge estimating software, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Roof CAD. Ability to operate within Sage, the accounting software. Supervisory Responsibility N/A Work Environment This position operates some of the time in a typical office environment, spending time at a desk, typing at a computer, talking with people in person and on the phone, taking notes, and using standard office equipment. The job also requires job site visits. It also involves work in the field or shop, walking, climbing ladders, talking with people, or in sometimes loud environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and business hours are Monday through Friday, 8-5pm. Longer hours, evenings, and weekend work as necessary to ensure that the work is completed in a safe and timely fashion. Travel No travel outside Minnesota is anticipated unless deemed necessary for training or other Company needs. Travel to job sites in the region is required. Education/Requirements A degree in a construction-related field such as project management is preferred but equivalent work experience is acceptable in lieu of college education. 3-5+ years' industry knowledge and experience. 2-3+ years' experience managing a small to mid-sized team. 3-5+ years’ experience working in an Estimator and/or Project Manager capacity preferred.
