Job Description - Technician / Sales Consultant Combines technical expertise with exceptional customer service to serve customers by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices like computers and cell phones, while actively promoting sales opportunities and ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, provides expert advice and recommendations to customers regarding device upgrades, accessories, and other relevant products. Soldering and console repair experience is a plus, but not required. Technician Tasks and Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair devices Provide recommendations for problem resolution Explain complex technical issues to customers in a non-technical, simple to understand manner Provide repair and replacement estimates to customers Ensure that all repairs meet or exceed Asurion quality standards Greet customers in a friendly manner and maintain a positive work environment Answer phone calls to the store with a professional, courteous and friendly demeanor Ensure that customers have an enjoyable experience by providing superior customer service and exceeding customer expectations Offer products and services to customers Keep track of all devices and inventory while safeguarding all store stock Utilize the point of sale system notes and updates to maintain an accurate record of customer information and a real-time status of each repair. Basic Qualifications - Technician / Sales Consultant Outstanding customer service skills Excellent technical, problem solving, and analytical skills Exceptional organizational skills Strong written and oral communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to use Google Drive Work well in team environment Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays High school diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications – Technician / Sales Consultant Experience repairing electronics, smartphones, PC/MACs, and game consoles - many of our new technicians have experience tinkering with personal and friend's devices Technical degree or certification in Electronics or Consumer Electronics, example: CompTIA, or other I.T. certificate Previous experience working at retail electronics store or other I.T. business is valued but not required Wage : Starting at $16.00 Hourly + Commission ( Commission bonus on productivity stats + closed sales ), even without prior related experience. Relevant experience in other fields may warrant a higher initial wage.
