Quality Assurance Supervisor Quality Assurance Supervisor carries out technical and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Key duties/responsibilities Investigates complaints on existing products and responds to vendor or customer. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet testing schedules. Provides technical and process direction to manufacturing Quality Assurance Technicians, Product Hold coordinators and Material Review Board (MRB) coordinators. Provides leadership, mentoring and supervision of manufacturing Quality Assurance Technicians, Product Hold coordinators and MRB coordinators. Develops and recommends test procedures for products and raw materials and maintains test equipment. Evaluate employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching and feedback methods. Continuously improve performance based on the key performance indicators. Analyzes and resolves, or assists workers in solving work problems. Oversee the efficient implementation of quality standards, programs and processes to improve operational efficiencies and reduce/eliminate production waste and HOLD product. Train employees in SOP’s and ensure training effectiveness in application of job skills Trains lab group on safety topics, quality procedures and business updates for the month. Participates in other plant teams and programs such as HACCP Team, SQF Team, and others as assigned. Directs and advises personnel in special test procedures to analyze components and physical properties of product materials. Maintains a thorough knowledge of new developments, technology and processes. Maintains time and testing records, reporting monthly. Supervise the lab technicians and quality inspectors in the plant. Monitors QA final acceptance, Product Hold and Material Review board performance and implements changes to improve operating efficiency. Develops, justifies and implements manufacturing QA process improvements. Compiles and analyzes test information to determine operating efficiency of process or equipment and to diagnose malfunctions.
Salary: $50.6K - $64.1K a year
