If so, our full time Food Services Cook in the Motherhouse dining room is the job for you! Must be able to work Eve shifts, five days a week, including every other weekend. Time 10:20am-6:50pm The Ursuline Sisters are committed to service and hospitality. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Preparation of meats, vegetables, salads, and desserts, as assigned Rotate through assigned jobs: meat cook, vegetable cook, and dish room Check in stock and put away Clean and stock freezer and refrigerator Prepare and set up for special events Fill all requests that come into the kitchen Check and/or make drinks, as assigned. Put food on line and keep filled, as assigned. Participate in the cleaning of food service areas, as assigned. Assist with washing and drying dishes, as necessary Assist with counting and plating of food. Adhere to recipes with no modifications so nutritional values are correct. Maintain courteous and professional communication with Sisters, visitors, staff, and all customers. Skills and Abilities Required High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2-3 years cooking experience. Ability to work under pressure. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. Ability to withstand and manage constant standing, walking, bending lifting, and carrying. Ability to follow detailed instructions and learn all positions on both shifts. Flexibility regarding scheduling Ability to withstand changes in temperatures due to equipment used in the cooking and dishwashing areas and the coolness of refrigeration.
