POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Manager will be a strategic business partner for our business, including Employee Relations, Payroll, Onboarding, New Hire Orientation, Benefits, Labor Relations, Compliance, Employee Training and Development, Analytical Reporting, and HRIS Management. This role will oversee HR functions ensuring compliance and administration of company policies and procedures. This position reports to our HR Director and supports employees’ day-to-day human resources needs. The Human Resources Manager must have strong HR knowledge & experience with a positive attitude, excellent customer service approach, strong leadership ability, and initiative to achieve goals with proven tangible results. The Human Resources Manager must seek to be of service, be comfortable working independently, and be a results-oriented multi-tasker. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties: · Support management and administration with short and long-term disability, FMLA, and other LOA processes. · Develops, conducts, and participates in various presentations to inform and educate leaders and team members about benefit plans, administrative practices, and legislated requirements and programs. · Designs and implements benefit-related programs, annual open enrolment, and other events as required. · Provide backup support to the payroll function. Assist employees with payroll issues to ensure the employee is paid correctly. · Partner with HR Director and team to resolve employee relations issues. · Monitors HR shared services metrics and implements proactive measures to mitigate risk and issues. · Drive the development and implementation of HR processes, policies and procedures, and strategic initiatives. · Maintains the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and compiles reports from the database to ensure data accuracy. Provide monthly reports as needed. · Manages investigations end-to-end, including intake meetings, background research, investigative interviews, report creation, and debrief meetings with leadership. · Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Will have direct reports. Travel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0-10% depending on business needs. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Required: · HS Education or equivalent · Six years of HR experience with a minimum of two years of HR managerial experience. · Experience with Success Factors & ADP, including managing, collecting, analyzing, and reporting data. · Strong project management skills like organization and time management will assist the HR team in effectively leading assigned projects toward completion. · Strong technical knowledge of Human Resources specialties, including employment law, employee relations, management and organizational development, staffing, training, and payroll. · Ability to work independently, and coordinate multiple large projects through planning, prioritizing, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. · Courage to make tough decisions and deliver complex messages with professionalism and poise while handling confidential information with the utmost professionalism Preferred: · Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. · HR Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS: · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills matched by solid presentation skills. · Have a solid collaborative approach enabling teams to be successful. · Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to connect with others in genuine and meaningful ways. · Strong problems solving skills with the ability to develop solutions to issues of moderate scope and complexity while utilizing best policies and practices for guidance. · Ability to build and maintain trust-based, collaborative relationships and influence others. · Self-starter with natural tendency to take initiative and work independently. · Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook · Strong understanding of ADP, Success Factors, and other HRIS software applications LANGUAGE ABILITY: Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public. MATHEMATICAL ABILITY: Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY: Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
