Phoenix College (PC), the first public junior college in Arizona, welcomed its first students on September 13, 1920. Job Summary
This position consists of several functions. The FWS students will assist with checking in members and cleaning the fitness center and equipment. In addition, the FWS student will assist the wellness technician with various tasks and answer questions about the Fitness Center to the community members.
Minimum Qualifications
• Ability to maintain courteous and friendly mannerisms while working in person in the fitness center.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
• Ability to work with diverse populations
• Ability to present yourself in a professional manner
• Ability to keep schedule and show up on time

Additional Requirements
• Student must be attending Phoenix College during the current semester (enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits).
• In order to qualify for a Federal Work-Study (FWS) job, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be on file for the current award year and have eligible financial needs based on the college requirements. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid for more information prior to applying to a Federal Work-Study job.
• FWS is a need-based, federally funded program.
• FWS requires the completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and confirmation of federal work-study eligibility as determined by the financial aid office.
• FWS does not directly pay for tuition, and funds are only available to eligible students attending a minimum of six (6) degree applicable hours in a federal student aid eligible program.
• The FWS award amount is based on your FAFSA results and college funding availability, which will determine the number of hours available to work while supporting the students academic goals.
