Description
The Account Advisor – Individual Benefits is responsible for marketing and selling insurance solutions to prospective clients. This position will provide service to potential and existing clients regarding Medicare  plans. This position will work with leadership to help implement North Risk Partners’ Medicare strategy.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze and develop Medicare insurance solutions for prospective and current clients based on  their needs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through advising and responding to all  correspondence in a quick and accurate manner.
• Educate and enroll clients on the most suitable Medicare plans available in the market, while being available to work with other advisors and their clients during Medicare’s annual enrollment.
• Evaluate and process client requests to ensure appropriate coverage is met.
• Verify accuracy of premium quotes and all plan cost information shared with our consumers.
• Write and develop new business, renewals, and cancellations for existing clients.
• Utilize technology and proven sales strategies to help clients find the best plan, carrier, and price to meet their needs.
• Mentor new team members.
• Proactively enforce policies, procedures, and efficiencies as they relate to the department and the clients by helping leadership develop and implement operational standards.
• Answer questions regarding coverage options
• Assist clients with plan and/or carrier changes, claims, and billing
• Capitalize of cross-selling opportunities across all departments (i.e., property and casualty, employee benefits, and personal lines).
• Study trends and advancements in the insurance and finance industries, as well as changes to the regulatory climate for businesses and the insurance industry, overall to keep knowledge current  and plan strategically.
• Collaborate with leadership on various compliance-related tasks, including but not limited to fulfilling CMS compliance requirements, assisting marketing in pre-approving marketing materials, liaising with carriers and leadership to execute corrective actions, etc.
• Attend and actively participate in agency sales training meetings by helping educate advisors on Medicare products, certifications, platforms, and sales materials.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal clients, peers, and leaders, regulators, partner insurance carriers, and field marketing organizations.
• Enter activity and other relevant information into the company’s software system(s) in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow all federal and state regulations, and best practices regarding compliance and errors and  omissions.
• Partner with NRP’s marketing team to help develop successful campaigns targeting all internal and external opportunities for revenue generation.
• Work with leadership on commissions audits, reconciliation, and reporting, and leverage carrier relationships to help recover unpaid commissions.
• Continue professional development; pursue and maintain professional designations if applicable.
• Travel as necessary to meet client needs.
Requirements
Education, Experience, and Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• Previous Medicare work experience of 2+ years required.
• Commission based sales experience is helpful, but not required.
• Active property and casualty and/or health and life license is required.
