Lab Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the day-to-day quality of our products by monitoring the sensory characteristics of each brand’s profile. You will maintain records for quality tracking, assist in managing all aspects of the sensory panel, including training of new and current panelists, and prepare, conduct, and monitor all types of sensory panels. Your duties also include gathering samples, scheduling and executing panels, and maintaining lab organization. You will have the opportunity to participate in writing, organizing, and updating lab procedures, as well as supporting activities related to laboratory accreditation and plant and vendor audits.

Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Work Environment This position operates on a schedule of 4-on and 4-off 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am). Training, which includes learning the distillation process, the equipment, and getting your palette ready, will initially be on day shifts, but you will likely work nights after training is completed. The work environment is a fast-paced lab with open work stations. This role involves a lot of sensory testing with the spirits, which includes smell and taste tests to ensure quality. You will work with pairs and ensure quality among 50-60 samples a day.
