Position Function
The Director of Teacher Pathway Programs supports Teachers College efforts to recruit future educators by collaborating with Indiana high schools to offer dual credit courses in the education professions pathway. The Director oversees the Cardinal Pathways to Teaching program, which provides a direct on ramp to the teaching profession for high school students. The Director works closely with The Pursuit Institute, school systems, sponsors, and employers to maintain the Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program and support student progress.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant field from an accredited institution.
Minimum Experience
• Three years high school teaching experience
• Two years facilitating partnerships
Minimum Other
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to form collaborative relationships.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Masters in Education or a relevant field from an accredited institution.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with a range of educational stakeholders within the P-12 continuum, university, and community.
