We insulate walls, attics, and crawl spaces to help control noise and improve energy efficiency and comfort. Our company continues to rapidly grow and is searching for installers to perform installation of: Fiberglass batting, loose fill insulation of both fiberglass and cellulose, spray foam, insulation removal, water proofing for new construction projects and RetroFoam for our residential retrofit projects. Duties / Responsibilities · Must have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, reliable and always on time. · Responsible for Installing, repairing, or removing insulation according to work order, or manufacturer specifications for each job using company approved methods and tools. · Loads insulation materials, tools, and equipment on the truck for each job daily. Assist leads with prep work, unloading and stocking materials on the job, · Measures and cuts insulation to the size required and distributes evenly within the wall frame, ceiling, floor, attic, or crawlspace. Either with specific equipment for the service or by hand. · Fastens insulation in place with tape, staples, or other fasteners as needed. · Perform air sealing and install plastic vapor barriers to protect insulation from moisture. · Has ability to multi-task and keep a consistent pace to ensure quality and efficiency. · Always follow company and industry safety guidelines and regulations. · Performs other related duties as assigned. Complete a high-quality job while maintaining efficiency. Have working knowledge of all types of insulation installation (blown-in, batting and spray foam, injection foam) and consistently perform quality checks. Skills / Experience / Education · Siding or Construction experience (highly desired) · Previous experience installing blown-in fiberglass and cellulose, batt insulation, spray foam or injection foam insulation (highly desired) · Basic knowledge of power tools and common industry hand tools such as knives, saws, and staple hammers including ability to read a tape measure · Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, and stilts on a regular basis · Ability to follow instructions, work in a group as well as independently · Current / Valid Driver’s License / Ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) / Reliable transportation to our office · Ability to travel within the surrounding geographic area daily · High school diploma or equivalent preferred Physical Requirements · Physical stamina and the ability to lift/carry/push/pull 50+ pounds at a time. The ability to bend, climb, reach, crawl, kneel, stoop, and stand to perform daily work for prolonged periods in a labor-intensive construction environment. Ability to work in confined spaces (depending on service)(attics and crawlspaces) Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment, as required .
